I agree with @bethlgainer on my favorite lines in your poetry.
Every morning, I go to the place where all souls can meet. It is where our higher selves dwell. I gain insight into my day and purpose by spending time with other higher selves, souls, and heavenly beings.
Thank you, @jeannieewing, for extending this connection today.
Aww. Art and poetry!! Exactly what keeps me sane these days. What a shocker. We are aligned (again)! ;) beautiful poem Jeannie. Keep moving towards the light my friend. You have much to offer to this world!
Haha the boys woke up at 5 am and there's an ice storm, so they have what's called an "e-learning" day, which is really an excuse to count today as an instructional day by assigning busy work.
Ah, a fellow morning person! I am one, too. I guess I am an “early to bed, early to rise” type.
Thanks for the well wishes. It’s more like an “ice” day than a snow day. Our dog Daisy ended up skating across the back patio when I let her out a bit ago.
While your poem (I believe) touches on feelings of loss and isolation, I also sense a glimmer of hope within it. The 'light and shadows' that rotate within suggest a continuous cycle, a possibility for renewal. Even amidst the uncertainty, there's a sense that the speaker is still searching, still seeking connection. It's a beautiful reminder that hope can still flicker within us even in the darkest times.
Wow. Beautiful poem, Jeannie. The artist has such a unique philosophy, and the art piece is beautiful.
I love the lines of your poem, especially:
"I want to touch
The panes
That divide us,
Imagine we are
One…
But invisible walls
Separate."
Thanks, Beth. I always look forward to your comments!

That's such a tender thought, Dawn. I always value your insights. Will you be joining us on Sunday for the virtual book club?

I love your heart and your light, dear friend! Your spark ignited the embers in me this week. Thank you for that. Can’t wait until we connect again.
Oh, knowing this makes my day!! So happy I could be there for you!
What a wonderful poem, Jeannie. I love it!
Thanks, Don!
What are you doing up so early? 😊
