Wow. Beautiful poem, Jeannie. The artist has such a unique philosophy, and the art piece is beautiful.

I love the lines of your poem, especially:

"I want to touch

The panes

That divide us,

Imagine we are

One…

But invisible walls

Separate."

I agree with @bethlgainer on my favorite lines in your poetry.

Every morning, I go to the place where all souls can meet. It is where our higher selves dwell. I gain insight into my day and purpose by spending time with other higher selves, souls, and heavenly beings.

Thank you, @jeannieewing, for extending this connection today.

What are you doing up so early? 😊

Haha the boys woke up at 5 am and there's an ice storm, so they have what's called an "e-learning" day, which is really an excuse to count today as an instructional day by assigning busy work.

What are you doing up so early? ☺️

I’m a bed about 630 every morning. 😊

Have a good snow day!

Ah, a fellow morning person! I am one, too. I guess I am an “early to bed, early to rise” type.

Thanks for the well wishes. It’s more like an “ice” day than a snow day. Our dog Daisy ended up skating across the back patio when I let her out a bit ago.

While your poem (I believe) touches on feelings of loss and isolation, I also sense a glimmer of hope within it. The 'light and shadows' that rotate within suggest a continuous cycle, a possibility for renewal. Even amidst the uncertainty, there's a sense that the speaker is still searching, still seeking connection. It's a beautiful reminder that hope can still flicker within us even in the darkest times.
