LOVE THIS! Jeannie, no apologies warranted! I love the connection you had with this art piece and how it inspired you to immediately pen this poem! A most raw, yet genuine form of writing often births a powerful piece; YES! it did! Very relatable piece and this one will stick with me!
Your poem resonated with me on a deeply personal level. The idea of being 'unshapely' and 'a fragile irony' struck a chord. I've often felt like that, especially when opening up and revealing my vulnerabilities. It's terrifying, but there's also something beautiful about allowing others to see the 'jagged edges' within. LOVE. 🩵
It would be interesting to see what you'd come up with if you had viewed this art piece, Alex, in terms of a poem. If you ever try it sometime, let me know. As always, I am so glad that my words touched your heart, as yours do mine.
Hi Jeannie, this is a great poem, definitely a product of great inspiration. You mentioned that when you looked inside the art structure that it was both fascinating and terrifying. That makes the following lines chilling.

Do you dare
To peer inside?
As always, I value your insights, Beth. Thank you 😊
This is a fantastic poem, Jeannie. So symbolic and sparse , with hard-hitting word choices.
Thank you, Don. :)
This is lovely! I really enjoyed it. I love those moments when we are immediately inspired by something unexpected and HAVE to write!
Thanks, Breeann!
