Or made to slow down to view my life, to see things that changed me as well as scared me. My children now suffer from my wrong doings. Slowing down to let God speak to those areas.

Yes, all good points. Regarding how our children suffer from our wrongdoing, that's every child and parent. What I've learned is that the most I can do is keep learning from my mistakes as a mom and then try to accept my children's hurt from it without judgment and instead apologizing and making things right from this point onward.

This is something I really struggle with, although my life seems less frenetic by comparison! Walking my dog outdoors (particularly in wooded areas) is often the one time I slow down and really pay attention to what's around me. It's sad that we do this so rarely.

Thanks for sharing that, Julie. I hear you. I think knowing that it's rare is a good step toward awareness of when, and how often, you'd like to incorporate more solitude in your life. We all need the pause, I think, now more than ever before. ❤️
