This is the first thing I’ve ever read from you, Jeannie, and it was simply gorgeous. How lucky your kids are. ❤️

Katrina, have you read Suzette Mullen's new memoir, The Only Way Through Is Out? She writes about her coming out in midlife, too, and I'm pretty sure her book was just released a couple of weeks ago. I'm eager to read it and just thought I'd pass the word along in case you're interested, since you're also a memoirist!

I have, and it's amazing! Suzette and I are friends, and our stories have so many parallels. We met through an online group (you'll recognize them as the LaLas in her book), and got to meet in person when we were both in NYC. We've been friends ever since. <3

No way! I heard about her through her book coaching career and through Mainely Memoir. I've followed Jennie Nash since 2014ish, and I found her through Dan Blank. So weird how the world really is small!

Oh friend,

I could barely see through my tears to finish reading this. The most precious form of love spoken from sweet Joey’s lips. And I just love how you attended to Sarah’s feelings in that moment and helped her understand the innocence in Joey’s questioning and to see it was solely from a place of love. Your children are so blessed to have you and Ben as parents❤️

That's a high compliment, Joy. I assure you that I don't always "win" at parenting. It's tough for every parent, especially tough when you have kids with extra needs and complex medical concerns. I guess you're right, though - to love is really the best way.
